The Best Compliment A Lawyer Can Give Me

Monday, November 30th, 2009

While I was working in my office today I received a telephone call from another Attorney in San Pedro, California.  She was calling to get advice about a case of her own.  It was a serious pit bull dog attack.   What a horrible situation her client faced due to the negligence of the property owner.

I truly appreciate when other members of the bar contact me to brainstorm on their cases.   What a compliment!  Because of our immense work in the personal injury field other attorneys respect & rely on us as an authority.  What a compliment!

Even though my desk is piled high with our own pressing case load…I have decided to make myself immediately available to other attorneys when they call…assisting not only our clients but other attorneys as well is so rewarding that I would do it even if I was never paid a penny for it.

Get the Best Settlement for Your Personal Injury Case and Choosing the Right Attorney

Monday, November 30th, 2009

At the Law Offices of Ledger & Associates we can help you get the best settlement in a legal case. We know the main goal is to make sure you are fairly compensated by the people responsible for your injury.

This is a legitimate reason for you to seek out a personally injury attorney. Today there are many personal injury lawyers you can find in your area to use. They offer the services through a law firm or individual lawyer services. The injuries do range from vehicle accidents, medical reasons, and even just slipping and falling. Now in some situations people may think a slip and fall is no big deal, and that only the victim is at fault. This is not true because in some personal injury cases a person can be harmed due to negligence or by another person with ill intentions.

This is where hiring a skilled, licensed, and experienced personal injury attorney comes into the picture. The Law Offices of Ledger & Associates specializes in personal injury cases. We will not only help you win the case against the opposite party, but also make sure that you get the proper settlement amount.

If you are not sure if your case can be considered a legal case in the court of law, you must consult a professional lawyer. Many provide this consultation at a reasonable price, at the Law Offices of Ledger & Associates we offer free consultations so you know exactly what to do. Why pay for something when in the end they may not even be able to assist you.

Personal injury can at times change the entire life of the victim and there must be a justified amount for settlement. The Law Offices of Ledger & Associates will also tell you about the time frame within which you must file the case to get the benefits of the law.

Trust = Do Our Accident Attorneys Really Meet Your Test?

Monday, November 30th, 2009

Dictionary.com cites:

trust:  noun

reliance on the integrity, strength, ability, surety, etc., of a person or thing;confidence.

———————————————

There is nothing more important to our firm than the above.  It is reflected in everything we do.  Our client’s trust  is  what drives our hard  work.  The fact that a person  relies on us for  strength during a difficult time  is an honor that we  do not take lightly.

Do Top Search Results in Google Mean Best Law Firm?

Friday, November 20th, 2009

We all know that for certain information if you “Google”  it, you’ll most likely find the exact information you are looking for. Google has search algorithms that help people to find the most relevant issue to what they need.
However this does bring up a very important issue, when you are looking for an attorney specializing in personal injury or a lawyer in your area. When you Google “best attorney orange county” or other types of searches do you get the best attorney’s in orange county? My answer to this is no.
As you take a look at the top results, you see companies that may not necessarily be the “best” or the “top” lawyer firms. What you do see are firms that know how to do their websites and internet marketing correctly. As a consumer looking for a lawyer this should give you a hint that they have great and very skilled internet technology marketers, who know how to use Google’s algorithms so that their company appears first.  Because in the end, the one with the most eyeballs get’s the most exposure and clients.
What this doesn’t tell you is how good the company is, or if they are even a good attorney at law. What I suggest you do is contact the law firms look at their web pages, take the time to see who it is you are going to be working with. Does it look like they handle their own content? Do they pay someone outside to do it for them? Are the marketing practices they are implementing honest? Do they out source all of this to other companies and actually have zero input or control on their sites?
Read the lawyer’s blogs and read what they write about, you can learn a lot about someone just based on the way they write. The only real way to determine who really is the “best” or the “top” attorneys in your area is to simply judge it for yourself. And not base it on Google’s top 10 results. Don’t just hire a company just because Google displayed them in the first page, contact the attorneys, look up their names and information using Google. You would be surprised what you can find. and who knows sometimes even the ones in the far back of Google may be the best attorney in the world. They just don’t know how to get to the front page of search engines.
Eugene – Chief of Technology, Law Offices of Ledger & Associates

Introduction From the Chief of Technology At The Law Offices of Ledger & Associates

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Hello,

My name is Eugene and I am Chief of Technology for the Law Offices of Ledger & Associates. My main tasks include making sure that everything in the office is running smoothly from the phone lines and faxes to the internet web sites and advertisements.

Computers, the internet, and electronics have become very integrated in our everyday lives. New questions arise from the marketing practices of companies and how they are portrayed online.

The best part about blogs and hand written content is that you get to see who it is you will be working with. What sort of messages do they display? Are they hiring someone else to do the writings  or can you read a law offices blog and determine if they are the right attorney for you?

I am always willing to help out the community as well as anyone who has questions on computers, technology, or the internet. I eat, sleep, and breathe this stuff and would love to answer any questions, comments or concerns you have on these topics.

The Ultimate Rain Maker!

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Attorneys from all over the country ask me on a weekly, if not daily basis, “How do you manage to bring in so many new clients”.  As a wrongful death & catastrophic injury lawyer, I swim in the depths of the ocean with the biggest sharks.  Some will do anything to gain a client….and I mean anything.  My approach has always been different.  The Anti-Shark if you will.  In fact, my approach has been Anti-Ambulance-Chaser and really even Anti-Attorney.  My approach with my clients is to talk to them and treat them like they are friends.  I give the same advice to my clients that I would give to a friend from childhood.  I know this sounds basic, but the reality is, most attorneys don’t get it. Most attorneys treat their clients, at best, like children.  The speak down to them.  I think they learned this in law school.  A quote from the movie, The Rainmaker sums it up pretty well:

“In my first year of law school, everybody loved everybody else. We were studying the law, and the law was a noble thing. By my third year, you were lucky if you weren’t murdered in your sleep. People stole exams, hid research from the library and lied to the professors. Such is the nature of the profession.”

My clients are my friends, not my children.  They get treated like a friends get treated.  If a friend calls, you call him back.  If a friend ask for my honest opinion, I give it to him or her.  That is what I have always done….and it works.  My math is simple:  Client = Friend, Friend = New Referrals, New Referral = Client, Client = Friends…. and the circle of life goes on.  We have grown in to California’s Leading Accident Law Firm not only because of our huge verdicts but mainly because we know how to treat people.

“Wait a second,” I’m asked, “You mean to tell me you that you are friends with all of your clients.”  Answer, “Yes”.  I do not work for people I don’t like.  Period.  I don’t need to.  My office brings in over two hundred cases per year.  Do you think I would waste time on the unfriendly.  My promise to my clients, if I don’t consider you a friend…..your file will be mailed to you with a “Best of Luck” letter.  Thankfully, I’ve never sent one of those out!

Very Best,

Welcome To Our “New” Law Firm Blog!

Friday, November 20th, 2009

Hello Ladies and Gents

I am very excited to be placing the first post in our Law Firm’s new Blog.  The Law Offices of Ledger & Associates was founded twelve years ago with the idea that we would be dedicated to stellar client service.  The stories about Attorneys who don’t return phone calls never set well with me.  How arrogant not to return someone’s call for weeks, especially when they are paying to do so.  One of they ways we decided to maintain the best client service was through technology.  Upon our founding we had the utmost cutting edge technology.  Needless to say, our client calls were returned, their questions answered and excellent legal advice/work product provided all assisted by advanced technology.  We developed law firm systems that, built on latest technology, automated so many processes that our attorneys were left to practice law and provide client service second to none.

Moving forward to the era of the Attorney Blog, I must confess, we were not on the cutting edge.  I did not embrace the technology of Blog software with the normal curiosity and excitement I would have if I had been younger attorney.  I felt that blogging was for teenagers and attorneys that liked to talk about themselves.  I now realize I was wrong.  Blogging is an incredible communication tool.  It is amazing that I can sit at my desk in California and relay thoughtful legal opinion to fellow attorneys in New York.  I hope to gain a following in the Blog world.  Many who are to shy to call and ask for advice can now sit in the shadows and educate themselves from afar.  Those who want to assert themselves can do so by posting their own comments.  Wow…this really is Web 2.0!

This Blog is not about me.  This Blog is not about my law firm.   This Blog is about people, our clients.  It will be written to them and for them.  We will try to provide the most up to date and relevant legal opinion related to their cases.  Keep in mind, much of the content we will link you to is not ours.  Please give credit to those author’s … we do not want to take credit for something that we haven’t produced.  We are the authority on Wrongful Death & Personal Injury Law on this blog…but not the authority on those sites from which we link or provide an excerpt.

Feel free to comment on any post.  All comments will be published as long as they are in the best interest of our clients.

Keep in mind, this is a public forum.  You are not protected by Confidentiality Canons on this Blog.  If you would like to speak confidentially to me or my staff we are available for you at 800-300-0001 at any time.

Very Best,
