Melanie is a California native who has been developing her legal career in states across the country. She finally made her way back home and joined the team at Ledger & Associates. Melanie began working in personal injury at a large firm in Chicago, Illinois, where she handled volumes of personal injury cases including auto accidents, slip and fall, dog bite, and suits against the city transportation system. Prior to joining the team at Ledger & Associates, Melanie delved into the corporate litigation environment, where she worked on multi-million dollar suits involving contract disputes, fraud, securities and anti-trust violations, racketeering, unlawful detainer, equitable relief, and intellectual property disputes. Whether she is dealing with a case valued at a few thousand dollars, or a few million dollars, Melanie handles each one with personal attention to every aspect of the case from start to finish.

Melanie graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona, with a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Theater Arts. While attending University of Arizona, Melanie participated in an internship on the campaign trials in Washington D.C. She is a proud member of Delta Gama sorority, and served as Delta Gama Director of Alumni Relations at University of Arizona. With an overwhelming passion for the law and politics, a knack for public speaking, and a consistent desire to be on stage, she knew that she belonged in a court room. Melanie attended law school at Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing Michigan, where she was awarded a juris doctorate in January, 2008. Melanie has taken the state bar and still awaits final licensing determination.  Melanie is currently the non-attorney Lead Case Manager at Ledger & Associates.
